1980 Volkswagen Jetta

Factory specifications, fluid capacities, torque values, EPA fuel economy and the federal safety record for the 1980 Jetta.

The 1980 Volkswagen Jetta predates the model’s formally tracked complaint history, a longitudinal dataset covering 1990 through 2026. That record registers its highest complaint volume at 903 for the 2009 model year and its lowest at just 3 for 2026. Because this documented window opens a full decade after the 1980 edition, this model year sits outside the recorded reliability chronology and holds no position within that dataset.
