2015 Infiniti Q70 HEV

Factory specifications, fluid capacities, torque values, EPA fuel economy and the federal safety record for the 2015 Q70 HEV.

Body PASSENGER CAR

The 2015 Infiniti Q70 HEV is a passenger car that represents Infiniti's application of hybrid technology to their mid-size luxury sedan platform, with maintenance requiring 5W-30 API-grade engine oil at a capacity of 5.125 quarts. This model year continues the Q70 HEV's established formula pairing a gasoline engine with electric assistance in a traditional luxury sedan package. When examining the 2015 model's reliability metrics, the data reveals 10 total owner complaints with Power Train emerging as the primary concern area, accompanied by one recall, suggesting this generation experienced some drivetrain-related issues that researchers should consider when evaluating long-term ownership costs and dependability expectations for this vehicle.

Service quick specs OEM factory data

Capacities, torques and tune-up values from the factory service manual.

This engine holds 5.125 qt of 5W-30 API engine oil, DOT 3 brake fluid. Torque the oil drain plug to 25.0 ft-lbs. The firing order is 1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2. Note the cylinder-head bolts finish on a torque angle (torque-to-yield) — they stretch permanently and should be replaced, not reused, during any head service.

Factory maintenance schedule OEM · verified

Normal service, condensed from the factory interval matrix.

Under the factory schedule, replace the engine oil and filter every 5,000 mi; spark plugs at 105,000 mi; coolant at 105,000 mi. The big-interval services (at 105,000 mi for coolant, and the transmission fluid) are the ones owners most often skip — on a lower-mileage example, assume the original fluids are still in it and check them first.

Reliability & federal safety record

Owner-reported issues, recalls, investigations and service bulletins on record with NHTSA — an unfiltered look at what owners actually experience.

Owner complaints about the 2015 Infiniti Q70 HEV dominate in one area — the power train, 4 of 10 reports (40%), well ahead of the next concern. That matters, because the power train are also the target of recall 24V-470 on this vehicle — so the single most useful check before buying or servicing one is confirming it was actually performed. 1 of the reports describe a crash and 0 a fire — a small share of the total, but worth weighing against the power train pattern above. These are tallies of what owners actually reported to the federal government, not an editorial score — and higher-selling models naturally rack up more reports.
