P2114 indicates that the engine computer has detected the throttle pedal position sensor C signal does not reach or behave correctly at its minimum stop position. This is part of the accelerator pedal position sensor circuit, which uses multiple sensors for redundancy. The code means the signal from sensor C is outside the expected range when the pedal is released.

1. Faulty accelerator pedal position sensor

The pedal position sensor assembly itself has degraded or failed internally, causing sensor C to report an out-of-range minimum stop voltage. This is the most common cause of P2114.

2. Wiring or connector issue in pedal sensor circuit

Corroded, loose, or damaged wiring and connectors between the accelerator pedal sensor and the engine computer can cause voltage drops or signal distortion on the sensor C circuit.

3. Pedal assembly mechanical binding or damage

If the pedal mechanism does not fully return to its stop position due to wear, debris, or physical interference, the sensor may never reach its expected minimum value.

4. Engine computer (PCM/ECM) fault

An internal failure in the PCM's input circuitry for sensor C is rare but possible. This should only be considered after all sensor, wiring, and mechanical possibilities have been eliminated.
