Modern drive-by-wire vehicles use redundant pedal position sensors (A and B) so the computer can verify throttle requests, and a reading outside the expected range at the closed position triggers this code.   4. With the ignition on and pedal at rest, back-probe the sensor B signal and 5-volt reference circuits to confirm proper reference voltage, ground, and signal behavior.
  5. Slowly sweep the pedal while watching both sensor signals; they should change smoothly and remain within the manufacturer's correlation specification.
