5. Failed PCM control driver (rare)

  3. Check the fuse and relay that supply power to the exhaust pressure control valve circuit.
  4. With the ignition on, back-probe the valve connector to verify power and ground are present at the appropriate terminals.
  5. Test the valve solenoid resistance with a multimeter and compare to manufacturer specifications; an out-of-range or open reading indicates a failed valve.
